Living Healthy

Living Healthy

I bet no one will disagree when I say that the more you exercise and the less junk food you eat, the healthier your body will be. In fact, there is science to show that if you eat good nutritious food and exercise frequently, you can prolong your life and mitigate disease risks. A non-optimal diet of excess sugar and no exercise can lead to adverse health conditions like Type 2 diabetes. Why? Because when we fuel our body in a way contrary to how it is designed, negative symptoms start to emerge. And so it is with our spiritual life. In Genesis 1:27 we read, “So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Therefore, to be content and whole, we need to live the life God called us to live in a way that represents God since we are made in His image. God is love, and God is the truth. When we live a life of love and worshipping God, we find fulfilment, joy and everlasting life. Why? Because this is the life we are designed to live. When we stray from God and follow our own truth, we soon suffer adverse side effects that sin causes. Choose today to focus on God and His image in your life and experience His ultimate wholeness.
