Who is your God?

Who is your God?

Who did the nation of Israel worship during their 40 years in the wilderness? You might answer Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The great “I Am” God who brought them out of Egypt. Who parted the sea. Who gave them the Ten Commandments. However, that’s not the correct answer. God says – “Was it to me you were bringing sacrifices and offerings during the forty years in the wilderness, Israel? No, you served your pagan gods—Sakkuth, your king god and Kaiwan, your star god—the images you made for yourselves.” (Amos 5:25-26). Here was a nation guided by Moses, led by God, yet worshipping another king god and star god. However, maybe the more important question is, who is the god you are worshipping on your journey? Is your king god your career or pursuit of success? Is your star god a celebrity or a successful person? Let’s prayerfully examine our lives, lest the Lord declares, “I never knew you” (Matthew 7:23). “Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the LORD is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other.” (Deuteronomy 4:39). Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Deu4v39, https://bit.ly/Mat7v23
