How are you different?

How are you different?

I had this challenging thought the other day – “In my day-to-day life, how do I live differently from someone who doesn’t know Jesus?”. We often talk about actions speaking louder than words, but do I live a life that mirrors Jesus? When I’m late, and a taxi cuts in front of me, and now another car wants me to let them in, is patience and kindness the first thing that comes to my mind? It’s in the non-optimal moments when we have the power to surprise people with the character of God. When the world expects you to act in one way and you act in another. In Colossians 3:12, we read: “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Before we even get a chance to act, we should clothe ourselves with God’s character. Every day, we should actively ask ourselves, how did I act differently today? How did my actions mirror the character of Christ? When others turned away, how did I reach out and help? It’s tough not to fall short, but it starts with putting on God’s clothes every morning. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/col3v12 (Kayla B)
