As I descended into the lush gorge, a valley of waterfalls, butterflies, and birds unfolded before me. The sheer grandeur stirred something deep within—a thrill of beauty that is difficult to describe yet unmistakable when felt. Standing amidst this splendour, a strange thought struck me: this beauty existed long before I arrived. For thousands of years, these falls, vibrant wings, and melodic birdsongs had graced this valley, yet only now was I experiencing their wonder. The realisation was profound—beauty does not wait for us; we must seek it. How much do we miss simply because we fail to look? When was the last time you sought beauty in your family, your friends, your everyday life? More importantly, when did you last seek the beauty of God? The Psalmist captures this longing: “One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple” (Psalm 27:4). Take time today to seek out beauty, not just in landscapes but in the unexplored valleys of your own life. Best of all, you’ll get to experience the beauty buzz.
