“Please, could you help me with our house move on Saturday?”. “I can’t pick up Aunty Suzie at the airport. Could you do it?”. These types of requests are likely to receive a lot of “I would like to, but…” replies. Generally, most of us are not too keen to be inconvenienced. And so our standard reply to many requests for assistance is “No”. Yet, occasionally, we get the most beautiful reply. Not just a “yes” but an enthusiastic “yes, of course”. While this is rare, there is a resounding “yes” we all can receive if we want it. “Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” He, as…God’s ultimate “Yes,” always does what he says. For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory” (2 Corinthians 1:19-20). “Can you help me with my depression?”. “Can you help me with my anxiety?”. “Can you help me, I’m dying?”. “Yes!
