Newborns often sleep best with white noise. The hum mimics the sounds they heard in the womb—the rhythm of their mother’s body, the pulse of life. It comforts them because it reminds them of where they came from. As adults, we still long for comfort and peace. And sometimes we need to be transported back, not physically, but spiritually, to the moment we were created. David wrote, “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb… You watched me as I was being formed… Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed” (Psalm 139:13–16). Every person carries God’s imprint, even if they don’t acknowledge Him. There’s something deep within us that remembers being formed by His hands. If your soul feels unsettled, come back to the One who made you. Return to His presence through prayer, His Word, nature, or the people He’s placed in your life. Abide in Him, and find true peace.
