Imagine this scene – a wedding planned in a beautiful mountain area. The views will be stunning. However, a terrible fire burns across the mountains days before the event, leaving everything blackened and charred. The idyllic scenes are gone. It’s impossible to hide the ruined vista. Impossible for us, but not for God. Resigned to what has happened, the bride goes to sleep. But when she awakes, everything has changed. An unexpected snowfall has turned the scene into a winter wonderland. Sunlight sparkles on the fresh white snow. It’s a scene too beautiful to imagine. It’s a gift too wonderful to believe. While this could be a story about a natural wedding, it’s actually a spiritual one. Our lives are ravaged by the fire of sin, leaving us charred and dirty in God’s sight. Sins impossible to hide. Life beyond healing. Impossible for us, but not for God. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow” (Isaiah 1:18). This is God’s promise through Jesus. And we, too, will awake to a day when the Son sparkles on our white clothes, when our bridegroom, Jesus, returns. A day too wonderful to believe. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Isa1v18
