What’s my purpose?

What’s my purpose?

What’s my purpose? Without purpose, we don’t have direction, and without direction, life is meaningless. Many today live purposeless lives or selfish purposes that are empty. If we read the Bible, we discover our purpose. God tells us in the very first words spoken to humans what our purpose is. “God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply’” (Genesis 1:28). Notice that this is a blessing. God made us and knows we need purpose, so he blessed us with purpose. This purpose is something we all naturally do. We all naturally seek to be fruitful in what we do and multiply our possessions and ourselves through family. But we are called to live this purpose both in an earthly and heavenly way. Our heavenly purpose is to develop the fruit of the Spirit in our lives – “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22-23). And then, like any fruitful tree, we multiply these blessings into the lives of others. Being fruitful is our vertical purpose to love God. Multiply is our horizontal purpose to love our neighbour. Living this purpose will give your life ultimate direction and eternal meaning. What a blessing! Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Gen1v28, https://bit.ly/gal5v22-23
