How do you know what you look like? Yes, there are cameras, and you can sit and get your portrait painted, but every day, we stop and look in the mirror, and that’s how we come to recognise ourselves. The mirror reflects an image of you, and you recognise it – some days less than others. Without the mirror, you would forget what you look like, and your own face would become unfamiliar to you. God calls us to be a mirror for him, to reflect his character for others to come to know and recognise him. In 2 Corinthians 3:18 (TPT), we read,” We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.“ And similarly, without us, the mirror, many may never know and recognise God. The good news is we don’t have to do it with our own strength. Jesus has paid the price. The veil has been torn, and all we have to do is follow his example and let the Spirit dwell within us and reflect God’s glory. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/2Co3-18 (Kayla G)
