We live in a world where many people don't believe in God or that he sent Jesus as our saviour. What would convince them? Some amazing miracle? As Jesus himself said, "they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead." (Luke 16:31). So what can open the world's eyes? Jesus tells us in his final prayer before his death: "I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one- I in them and you in me-so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." (John 17:22-23). The world will know God sent Jesus when Jesus lives in us, demonstrated by our complete unity – a unity powered by Jesus himself. So how are we doing? Are we more divided as Christians, or living in a unity only possible because of Jesus? Unlike social clubs where people gather with the like-minded, our churches draw the dissimilar – people of every fault and background – and only a divine Lord can bring true unity. It's this improbable unity, not based on race, language, interests, or status, but on Jesus, that is the greatest witness to him. How is his power working in you and those you have been given to witness with? (Craig B). Open Bible – bit.ly/Luk16v31, bit.ly/Joh17v22-23
