Twice a year, as part of an outreach activity, we run what’s called a Street Store. The Street Store is a free, pop-up clothing “store” designed for people experiencing poverty. It operates like a normal retail environment, except everything is free. Clothes are displayed on hangers and shoppers browse and choose items at no cost. It’s a wonderful way to give with dignity. However, we can only offer this a few times a year. Yet God offers us a kindness store filled with gifts every day. “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost” (Isaiah 55:1). God offers sustenance that is not only free, but life changing. Refreshing patience and peace. Fulfilling love and joy. Strengthening faith and hope. Abundant grace and forgiveness. These are gifts that, despite our destitute state, God seeks to give at no cost. His offer is available, all we have to do is show up in faith and ask for it. No cost! (Craig B) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/isa55v1-3
