Unseen preparation

Unseen preparation

We had an amazing opportunity to go on a cruise. It opened my eyes to the power of preparation and organisation. Our ship had over 2000 passengers, that’s a lot of people to feed, entertain, and assist as they embarked and disembarked. The secret was the 750 staff, many of whom you never see. They work unseen in kitchens, machine rooms, navigation spaces, and more. All we saw was everything happening perfectly and seamlessly, food always available, rooms always clean, ports arrived at on time. This seeming ease belies the incredible preparation and effort the crew undertakes, we only see the result. Yet this preparation pales into insignificance compared to what God has been doing for us. Jesus said, “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world” (Matthew 25:34). Since the dawn of time God has been working in ways we will never understand, to bring about a Kingdom where heaven and earth are united, a place where perfection reigns forever, a place where He lives with us. He is doing this all for us. Even though we don’t see all He is doing, we know that that day will come soon. (Craig B) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Mat25v34
