How do you talk to God? Most of us would answer, through prayer. And whilst prayer is powerful, if we stop there we miss out on the many ways God speaks to us. Throughout Scripture, He spoke in diverse ways – Moses through a burning bush, Elijah through a gentle whisper, Joseph through dreams, Paul through a vision. Today He still speaks through His Word, through creation, and often in unexpected ways. The key is to keep our hearts tuned to Him, because we never know when or how His voice will come. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge” (Psalm 19:1-2). God is always speaking. The question is, are we listening?
