Physical Training

Physical Training

“Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.” (1 Timothy 4:8) – If you entered to run your first marathon you can’t just arrive on the day and run the race. It requires preparation, the right diet, and regular training. You need to build both your cardiovascular fitness (heart and lungs) and your structural fitness (muscles and ligaments). Training regularly will enable you to run a successful and enjoyable marathon. Similarly, our walk to God’s kingdom requires spiritual training.  The right food – reading God’s word daily.  Building strong lungs and hearts by praying always and allowing God’s spirit to change our heart.  Developing strong muscles by walking in God’s paths of righteousness and actively loving others. Doing this means we will experience a successful and enjoyable spiritual race. Will you make a commitment today to a spiritual training program?
