Recently, we enjoyed a wedding where I experienced something extraordinary. During the reception, the bridegroom said, “You have to go down to the beach and see it”. He was referring to the unique phenomenon known as bioluminescence. Standing on a bank looking out to sea, we could see the waves glowing with an ethereal light when they crashed. But the true wonder was when we walked and jumped and danced, the sand around our feet would light up. I stooped and ran my fingers through the sand, leaving behind a sparkling trail. And then I felt there was one name that should written in light – Jesus. Writing his name in light in the sand, I understood. He, who was made of sand, shines with divine light despite the darkness all around. “In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:4-5). I tried to take a photo of this remarkable phenomenon, but it wasn’t possible to capture it. It can’t be explained or photographed; it must be experienced – just like Jesus. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Joh1v4-5
