The constant light

The constant light

Light has a remarkable constancy. Its speed in a vacuum never changes, which is why physicists treat it as a fundamental constant. In a universe full of movement and uncertainty, light remains steady. When Jesus says, “I am the Light of the world” (John 8:12), He is making a claim that goes beyond illumination. He is declaring Himself unchanging in a world that never stops shifting. This is echoed in Revelation 22:13: “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” While ideas, cultures, and systems rise and fall, Jesus remains the same. Our age is marked by rapid change. Social norms shift, technology reshapes our lives, and uncertainty affects our futures and families. The question isn’t whether things will change, it’s what we anchor ourselves to when they do. Scripture points us to Jesus as the constant – unmoved, unchanging, trustworthy. His claim echoes the very beginning: “Let there be light.” That light finds its fulfilment in Christ. When Jesus entered the world, light broke into the darkness, bringing clarity, hope, and life. Darkness still exists, but the promise is clear: you need not walk in it. Turn toward the Light. It changes everything. (Craig B). Open Bible – https://bit.ly/joh8v12, https://bit.ly/Rev22v13
