Weeks. Months. Years. And now, finally, the day is here. The beauty, the joy, the love is beyond the anticipation. Beyond words. It’s the wedding day. That special day when an eternal bond of love is created. It’s for this reason that wedding days are so special. A time to laugh and love. A time to sing and dance. A time to celebrate. And in all of this is something even greater. A promise – a reminder – a lived parable – of the ultimate big day, the ultimate wedding. For we have been told that “Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” (Revelation 19:9). And we have been invited, not as a guest but as the bride of Christ. And soon, he will return. The day will come. “Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready” (Revelation 19:7). Weeks.
