Stay connected

Stay connected

When I first started driving, one of the things that annoyed me about having a car was that you had to change the tyres every so often. My young self would think that petrol is already too expensive, so I would find the best deal I could to replace tyres. This would often lead to purchasing the cheapest tyres I could find, only to then be surprised when I had to replace them again in the near future. Now that I’m a bit older I’ve realised the importance of quality tyres as they’re the only four things keeping you connected to the road. My faith has been a similar journey—when I was younger I thought going to church every Sunday was enough, but now I realise that the more I engage with scripture during the week, the more I am connected to the right path in life. John 15:4 states, “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” Just like a car can only remain on the road with those four tyres, we can only bear fruit by remaining in God’s teachings. Invest in the right vine and your life will be fruitful in its abundance. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/John15v4 (Jean-Luc H)
