Slave to freedom

Slave to freedom

Be a slave to freedom. It sounds like an oxymoron, but it’s how we, as believers, are called to live. Why? Because in this world, you’re going to be a slave to something. So many earthly vices enslave our minds daily—things like social media, our phones, and other distractions. These vices pull us away from activities that truly benefit us and hinder our productivity. The reality is that, as humans, we are destined for something to have control over us. The good news is that, as believers, we can choose to be enslaved by someone who frees us from these vices. Romans 6:18 says, “You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.” By believing in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and following His teachings, we are enslaved by the ultimate form of freedom—a freedom that releases us from the chains of sin and promises us the gift of eternal life. So, if you’re going to be a slave to something, be a slave to the Gospel, and you’ll never experience a greater sense of freedom. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Rom6v18 (Jean-Luc H)
