“How happy are those who fear the LORD– all who follow his ways! You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How happy you will be! How rich your life!” (Psalm 128:1-2) – People everyday, everywhere, seek happiness. They pursue happiness through their careers, wealth, hobbies, relationships, etc. However, sadly when it eludes them many turn to drugs or alcohol to try and lift their spirits. Yet, thousands of years ago God gave us the secret to a happy and meaningful life. Firstly, fear Him. This is not a negative fear, but a respectful fear – acknowledging God’s awesome power and letting go of our own pride and “solutions”. Secondly, follow His ways. Read His words, follow His commands, and allow Him to direct your path. And the reward? A happy life, where each new day you enjoy the fruit of your labour. A life filled with meaning and richness. “How happy you will be! How rich your life!”
