“Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.” (Proverbs 26:12). This verse speaks to a core truth: in its quest for wisdom, the world often overlooks God. The paradox in God’s wisdom lies in its simplicity and humility, not depending on human intellect but on the transformative power of faith in Jesus Christ. God’s wisdom isn’t about boasting of human accomplishments but recognizing our weakness and need for God’s grace. The message of salvation through Jesus’ sacrifice is a stumbling block to those who depend on their own wisdom and strength. However, for those who humble themselves and embrace the so-called foolishness of the cross, it becomes the “power of God for salvation” (Romans 1:16). If you want to boast, boast in God!
