When we observe our neighbourhood, city, and country, we often see doom and gloom, as evil seems pervasive. It’s easy to worry and stress about this. The world appears in disarray, but this isn’t a new phenomenon. Proverbs 24:19 advises, “Don’t let evil people worry you or make you jealous.” Worrying, stressing, and seeking approval from those who do evil won’t lead us anywhere. As Proverbs 24:20 says, “They will soon be gone like the flame of a lamp that burns out.” Instead, let’s affirm, “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation” (Isaiah 12:2). Choose today to make God your strength, song, and salvation – and nothing in this world will make you afraid or jealous. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Pro24v19-20, https://bit.ly/Isa12v2 (Stewart G)
