Revived. Active. Living life freely and to the full. Isn’t this how we would all love to live life? Many times what God offers us is so amazing that it’s almost too good to be true. One of His promises is in Proverbs 12:28 – “In the way of righteousness there is life; along that path is immortality.” What exactly is righteousness? Righteousness is the quality of being right in the eyes of God, including our character, conscience, conduct, and words. Wow! That’s surely impossible! But here’s the good news – the good news of Jesus. “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21). We are made right in God’s eyes through Jesus. It’s a gift that, if received in faith, can be experienced every day through the active work of Christ in our lives. And the reward. A life today filled with God’s freedom, God’s presence, God’s love, and God’s peace and abundance. And in the future, God’s gift of immortality. It’s the way of life.
