With the blessing of a new grandchild, we’ve once again had the chance to observe and learn from children. One of the clearest lessons from a 9-month-old is how fully they live in the moment. If they’re hungry, they cry. If they’re content, they laugh. If they’re curious, they crawl to explore. There’s no thought of tomorrow or reflection on yesterday. Life is lived completely in the now. Reflecting on the past is important – “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us” (Romans 15:4) – and looking ahead matters – “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness” (Matthew 6:33). But life itself is only ever lived now. Now is when we can love, forgive, pray, and give. And most importantly, “Now is the time of God’s favour, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). So pause. Put your phone down. Take in the moment. Pray. Speak. Notice. Thank God. Now. (Craig B) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Rom15v4, https://bit.ly/mat6v33, https://bit.ly/2Co6v2
