Where do we seek strength in times of trouble? Who do we turn to when our burdens are too great to bear alone? The psalmist declared, “My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:2). These words are not just a statement but a deep expression of trust from a heart that knows where to turn in need. This psalm was likely written during a pilgrimage to Jerusalem, a journey often fraught with danger. Looking up to the hills, the psalmist reminded himself that true help didn’t come from the mountains or human strength but from the Creator of everything. This journey mirrors our own life, full of uncertainties and challenges. This verse invites us to lift our eyes above the trials to the One who made the heavens and the earth. The same God who crafted the universe watches over us personally, offering strength in our struggles, protection in our weakness, and peace in our storms. So, as the psalmist did, lift your eyes with confidence. When you feel weary or overwhelmed, remember that the Lord is your ever-present help. He guided travellers then, and He walks with you now. Trust in Him—He is faithful and will lead you every step of the way. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/psa121v1-2 (Guy K)
