We recently finished building a cabin and love our new home, with its beautiful views of the mountains and wetlands. However, we had a problem—a septic smell in the bathroom was seeping into the main bedroom. After days of inspection, we found the source: a tiny gap in the pipe connecting to the toilet. Once we sealed it with sealant, the smell disappeared immediately. This experience made me reflect on our spiritual lives. We are called to be holy and blameless, but when we try to achieve holiness through our own strength, even the smallest sin can pollute us. James reminds us, “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it” (James 2:10). Only Jesus can cover our sins fully and make us blameless. No matter how far we’ve strayed, the invitation to be holy is open to all. “This includes you who were once far away from God… Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ… and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault” (Colossians 1:21-22). This is truly good news worth sharing. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Jam2v10, https://bit.ly/Col1v21-22 (Nicky B)
