Creation began with perfect reception. God spoke, and everything responded instantly. “Let there be light” (Genesis 1:3), and light appeared. Mountains rose at His command. Waters gathered where He directed. Even humans participated in this divine conversation. Adam named the animals, and creation recognised his God-given authority. Then came the interference. One conversation with a serpent scrambled the signal between heaven and earth. “Did God really say?” (Genesis 3:1) the serpent asked, and humanity tuned into doubt instead of trust. That single act of choosing the wrong voice shattered creation’s harmony. Fear replaced peace. Shame replaced innocence. The easy conversation between God and humanity went silent. But on the cross, Jesus restored the connection. While creation groaned and darkness fell, while voices mocked and accused, Jesus kept His ear tuned to only one frequency: “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit” (Luke 23:46). That perfect listening, maintained even through death, repaired what broke in Eden. Now through His Spirit, we’re learning to hear again. Every time we choose God’s voice over the world’s lies and show His character despite the cost, we’re tuning back into heaven’s original broadcast.(Sarah J).
