Good advice

Good advice

It will never forget these words: “Keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel.” This was the advice a special man, Oom Braam, gave to everyone before they set out on a journey. And it’s such good advice, isn’t it? It sounds simple, yet it’s hard to do. On our life’s journey, we often get distracted and take our eyes off the road. But we are called to “fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2). Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” And what about the steering wheel? That’s what gives us direction and purpose. But we often take our hands off the wheel, and that’s dangerous. It’s when we think we can do things on our own and rely on our own understanding. Proverbs 4:13 says, “Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life.” So today, take that advice to heart: keep your eyes on Jesus, and your hands on the direction He gives. Then your journey will be safe, purposeful, and full of life. (Pierre B) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Heb12v1-2, https://bit.ly/Pro4v13
