Finding purpose

Finding purpose

What’s my purpose? It’s a question most of us wrestle with. But maybe the better question is: How do I find my purpose? The answer should be obvious – from God. Yet many of us look for purpose and meaning in human direction instead. In the very first interaction between God and humans, He begins by giving us purpose: “Then God blessed them and said, ‘Be fruitful and multiply.’” (Genesis 1:28). Notice, this is a blessing. Purpose gives us meaning and direction. And this calling has two parts. Fruitfulness is about developing God’s fruit of the Spirit in our lives (Galatians 5:22–23). Multiply is about impacting others with that fruit. Every tree we see is a visual reminder of this. A tree never eats its own fruit, it grows for the sake of others. What God grows in us is meant to be shared. Jesus says, “I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit – fruit that will last… This is my command: Love each other.” (John 15:16–17). Why settle for addition when God has called you to multiplication? Be fruitful and multiply. (Craig B) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Gen1v28, https://bit.ly/gal5v22-23
