Face the Son

Face the Son

This morning I had the joy of running past fields of vibrant yellow sunflowers. What struck me wasn’t just their beauty, but how they follow the sun. Yet, because we were running early and the field was still in shade, some flowers faced the right direction—towards the coming sun—while others pointed the wrong way. But soon, once the sun rose, every flower would turn its face to the light. It reminded me of the world we live in now. The Son hasn’t yet fully risen over this earth. But He will. “He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him” (Revelation 1:7). The question is—are we already turned toward Him? Or are we facing the wrong way? Malachi 4:2 calls Jesus the “Sun of Righteousness” who will rise with healing in His wings. And so today, let this be your response: “When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ my heart said to You, ‘Your face, LORD, I will seek.’” (Psalms 27:8). Be ready. Face the Son.
