I recently enjoyed experiencing the wildflowers in the Western Cape. Carpets of wildflowers, every colour you can imagine, dancing in the breeze. It was an absolutely breathtaking sight. What makes these flowers so remarkable is the areas where they bloom are semi-desert and arid outside of the wildflower season. Isn’t this a picture of our life? Life can feel arid and empty. Not much beauty in each day. But God knows the seeds of potential living within us. When we put our trust in God and allow Him to fill our lives with His light and living water, life becomes beautiful and abundant. We do not need to worry about tomorrow because our lives are in His everlasting love and care. Jesus tells us, “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these.” (Matthew 6:28-29). You are far more precious to God than the flowers of the field. Allow Him to work in your life and fill each day with His beauty, wonder, love and abundance.
