Are there people in your life where if you don’t see them on a regular basis you don’t talk to them? Maybe they live further away than they used to or maybe you’ve started a new job and see less of them. This is how relationships get strained to the point where often friendships end altogether. This has happened to most of us at some point in our lives, as friendships can’t exist without some form of communication. This is why something as simple as picking up a phone and calling someone we care about can make a world of difference in our relationships. Often we don’t realise how important these friendships we’re putting to the side can be to us as well. Job 42:10 states, “When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes, giving him twice as much as before.” Reach out to those you haven’t contacted in a while, as they play their part in restoring your spiritual and mental wealth. God created us to live as a community, and no matter how far we may be, this is something we shouldn’t neglect. Pray for your friends and reach out to them. So—who are you calling today?
