Enthusiasm is the spice of life – it makes goals, work, and relationships meaningful and fulfilling. Yet if you simply amble through life in a lacklustre way, life just happens; it becomes something we must get through. Sadly, this is the lot for many people, and for atheists truer than for anyone else. An atheist might argue they have as much enthusiasm as anyone, but consider this: the word atheist comes from the Greek atheos, meaning "without God," while enthusiasm comes from the Greek entheos, meaning "God within" or "filled with God" – originally describing someone inspired by the divine. As Christians, that original meaning takes on even deeper significance. The truest enthusiasm is found when God Himself lives within us through His Spirit. We may have passion and energy without Him, but without God our greatest ambitions ultimately end at the grave. As Solomon observed, they are "meaningless, a chasing after the wind." (Ecclesiastes 1:14) If you truly want to experience passion and enthusiasm for life, let God live fully in you. Everything changes, both now and forever. "And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you." (Romans 8:11). (Craig B). Open Bible – bit.ly/Ecc1v14, bit.ly/Rom8v11
