Antivenom

Antivenom

I recently learned that antivenom is made by injecting snake venom into horses and sheep. These animals have robust immune systems that produce potent antibodies, enabling their defences to eliminate the toxins and produce antivenom. These antibodies can be used for antivenom, which can then be used to treat human snakebite victims. However, while this works for snake bites, there is another poison that no medication can treat – sin. “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). The sin poison leads to certain death. The sad part is that we cannot escape sin’s deadly bite, no matter how perfectly we try to live. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). That’s really bad news! However, God offers us the greatest antivenom of all – an antivenom for sin. Just as horses can create antivenom for snakebites, Jesus took on our sins to create the sin antivenom for us. “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21). What a gift. A cure from sin and death. Receive Jesus. Experience the cure. Open BIble – https://bit.ly/2co5v21, https://bit.ly/rom6v23, https://bit.ly/Rom3v23 (Hannah B)
