I recently had a big moth flying around the house and immediately wanted to remove it. It was annoying as it flew around the light until eventually it flew into a different room and I ignored it. The next day I found the moth again, but this time it was resting on the wall with its wings spread open. It had an amazing pattern that took me aback—big circles resembling eyes. This gave it a human element and suddenly I felt bad for trying to chase it away so relentlessly. It got me thinking about who we open our homes to. While we always reserve the right to family, it often stops there. 1 Peter 4:9 states, “Open your homes to each other and share your food without complaining.” I was complaining and doing everything I could to get the moth out. And sometimes, we treat people in need the same way—as an inconvenience. But this moth reminded me of a deeper lesson: open your home you never know how a simple dinner, a warm space, or a shared moment could bless someone else. Don’t be too quick to chase people off—what looks like an interruption may actually be a divine appointment. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/1Pe4v9 (Jean-Luc H)
