Do your Bible app

Do your Bible app

Have you got a Bible app? Most would answer, “yes”. But have you done your Bible app? I don’t mean just open it and read it. Have you done your Bible app? An app is an application. It’s great to have a Bible app and to read the Bible. But we are called to do the Bible application. “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says” (James 1:22). This is the actual Bible app—doing what we read. That’s application. I love James’ humour as he drives the point home. “For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like” (James 1:23–24). Imagine that. You look again in the mirror and wonder who that is. It’s crazy. That’s how crazy it is not applying what we read. God’s Word is not just for study and meditation, it is for application. Reading without applying is crazy. It’s denying the power of divine change. It’s missing out on the Spirit working. So, will you do your Bible app today? Open Bible – https://bit.ly/jam1v22-24 (Craig B)
