Seek first

Seek first

You wake up in the morning, remembering your promise to engage with God’s Word as you arise. But then the tasks of the day flood your mind, and you tell yourself you’ll make time during your lunch break. When lunch comes, you just need to catch your breath, so you watch your favourite YouTuber while you eat, thinking you’ll read the Bible before bed. Before you know it, you’re lying in bed, exhausted, staring at the ceiling, telling yourself you’ll read tomorrow morning. This cycle is all too easy to fall into, and soon, your relationship with God becomes strained. The longer it continues, the harder it is to break free. Matthew 6:33 may seem like a familiar verse, but it’s one we should live by daily: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” No matter how busy life gets, take time each day to seek God—through scripture, prayer, or even a moment of reflection. When you put Him first, everything else falls into place, and no matter how overwhelming life seems, it will always feel infinitely better. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/mat6v33 (Jean-Luc H)
