Praise and glory

Praise and glory

Although the Psalms are the hymnal of the Old Testament, they are also prophetic in nature. While Psalm 1 paints a picture of the Garden of Eden in Genesis, Psalm 150 is the “Revelation” of the Psalms, taking us to the end of the millennium when the “whole earth is filled with God’s glory” and “everything that has breath” praises the LORD. Psalm 149 serves as the penultimate prophecy, filled with joy and celebration as Israel rejoices in God, their Maker, for the final destruction of the wicked. “Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp … and to execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron” (Psalm 149:2-3, 7-8). And so it will be—that righteousness and peace will reign forever and ever. Even so, come Lord Jesus. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Psa149v2-3, https://bit.ly/Psa149v7-8 (Barry vH).
