The Christmas secret

The Christmas secret

Christmas has become a commercialized event where indulgence often overshadows Jesus. Yet, amidst it all, there’s an important lesson to learn. A child once asked his dad if Santa Claus exists. The dad explained that knowing the truth would change everything, but the child still wanted to know. So, the dad said, “Yes, Santa exists, but he isn’t a person but an idea. All those gifts Santa gave you were from me. Yet, you never knew. And even though you didn’t thank me, it gave me great joy to see your happiness. Now that you know the secret, you’re part of it. You have to be Santa. Look for opportunities to help others without them knowing.” This aligns beautifully with Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 6:3-4: “But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” This Christmas, don’t just complain or celebrate—be part of the secret. Seek out ways to bless others, expecting nothing in return. (Based on a story by Cyndi Sumpter). Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Mat6v3-4
