"Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever." (Psalm 136:1). This refrain echoes twenty-six times through Psalm 136. Again and again, God reminds us that mercy is not something He reluctantly gives – it flows from who He is. Manasseh is one of Scripture's clearest examples. For decades he led Judah into terrible evil and rebellion against God. Yet when judgment came and Manasseh humbled himself, cried out to God, and repented, the Lord heard him and restored him. A lifetime of rebellion did not place him beyond the reach of God's mercy. Ezekiel reveals God's heart just as clearly: "If wicked people turn away from all their sins… they will surely live and not die." (Ezekiel 18:21 NLT). God says, "I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live." (Ezekiel 18:23). This is the heart of our Heavenly Father. He does not delight in judgment, but calls us to leave rebellion behind, turn toward Him, and receive life. So today, do not merely admire His mercy – respond to it. Lay down whatever keeps drawing your heart away from Him. Humble yourself, confess it, and turn back. No failure places you beyond His mercy. His invitation remains: "Turn back and live!" His mercies are new every morning, and His mercy endures forever. (Nicky B). Open Bible – bit.ly/Psa136v1, bit.ly/Psal136, bit.ly/Eze18v21, bit.ly/Eze18v23
