Too heavy tree

Too heavy tree

We were walking in a forest recently and saw a huge tree that had snapped in half due to strong winds. Why this tree and not others? The only explanation was its top-heavy branches and foliage made it unable to withstand the wind. The prophet Daniel interpreted a dream of the Babylonian king, who dreamt of a statue with a gold head, silver chest and arms, bronze belly and thighs, iron legs, and feet of iron and clay. “A rock was cut from a mountain, but not by human hands. It struck the feet of iron and clay, smashing them to bits”. Everything was broken to pieces and “blown away without a trace.” Daniel explains this top-heavy statue represents a series of world empires, from Babylon, the gold head, to the feet of iron and clay, symbolising our modern world. It’s an image representing nations that think they are powerful but are like a top-heavy statue on clay feet. Soon, Jesus, the rock not made by human hands, will return, crushing all nations. And then the vision concludes – “the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth” (Daniel 2:32-35). God’s promise is His kingdom will be established and fill the whole earth. Thy kingdom come. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Dan2v32-44
