Sharing my faith

Sharing my faith

A thought I often have is: how can we bring others to God? When speaking about my faith, I always wrestle with the balance—am I being overbearing, or am I not doing God justice? To answer this, I think back to the funny way I was first introduced to faith as a child. My grandmother would often invite me over to play cards, but before I knew it, the game would turn into hours of biblical lessons. At the time, I felt like I had been tricked, but now I realize she did it out of pure love. She wanted what was best for me—to experience the same love God had given her. It reminds me of Jesus’ words in Matthew 19:14: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” In a way, those who have not yet come to Christ are like children, their eyes still waiting to be opened to His eternal blessings. It’s up to us to lead them—not by making faith feel like a burden, but by showing them the gate that leads to God’s love and truth. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Mat19v14 (Jean-Luc H)
