“Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.” (Proverbs 11:28) – It’s not trust that is the problem, it’s what we trust in. We all trust something or someone. Those who put their trust in worldly possessions will eventually be disappointed, for in time these will fail. However, those who put their trust in God will be like a green leaf. What do we see when we see a green leaf? We see life. The passage continues – “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life” (Proverbs 11:30). Those who trust in God are truly alive. Those who trust in God truly thrive.
