Where are you going?

Where are you going?

Recently we did a Safari through several African countries. At the borders, there is one common question they all ask – “Where are you going?” Some people reply with a detailed itinerary, while others simply give their next destination. We are all travelling through the land of Life, and the same question should be answered. Where are you going? For many, the answer might simply be our next stop – “I’m going to school ” or “I’m going to work”. And then? “A better job”. And then? “Another job”. And then? “I suppose I will retire.” And then, where are you going? “Um…” Life, for many, has no real destination, no final goal, besides the grave. This is because we aren’t seeing our true country – God’s eternity. “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ” (Philippians 3:20). We have an ultimate destination, which is God’s kingdom when Jesus returns, and our world is transformed. He invites us to that country – to that destination. Live life as you stop at all the points along the way – school, work, retirement, showing God’s love to all, knowing that His Kingdom is your final destination. Today remember where you’re going and “set your mind on things above, not on earthly things” (Colossians 3:2). Open Bible – http://bit.ly/phi3v20, https://bit.ly/col3v2, http://bit.ly/READMore_
