If you are suffering under a terrible financial situation or terrible illness or loss, and someone comes along and says, “Don’t worry, I’ve been through this exact situation, and I overcame it. I will show you how to do the same.” What a blessing that would be. What a comfort to be guided and restored by someone who not only understands but knows how to overcome the problem. Jesus makes this offer to you for whatever trouble you face. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33). Jesus has overcome the world, not only the issues we face but death itself. He is offering to be your personal guide to overcome your problems. All you must do is believe that Jesus is who he says he is. “Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5:5). And Jesus will help you overcome not only your issues, but he will give you all things. “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.” (Revelation 21:7).
