Some years ago myself and a group of friends set out on a crazy hike up a mountain. It was getting dark, we were exhausted, and a mist was descending. We reached a split in the path. Tired and unsure we made a choice. It turned out to be the wrong path which resulted in us having to try and pitch our tents on the side of a steep pass in the dark. We all reach crossroads in our life at some stage, and the choice we make can have a lasting impact. However, there is one crossroad that is more important than any other – choosing between my path and God’s path. Choosing God’s path will not only impact how we experience life now, but for all eternity. “This is what the LORD says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the eternal paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Jeremiah 6:16). None of us want to end up stumbling in the darkness. So, take a moment now at today’s crossroad, and ask God to show you His good way today.
