You are out at sea in a ferocious storm. You have lost complete control of the ship. The rudder has been damaged, and it’s just you and the turbulent 20-foot waves around you. What is your response to this deadly calamity? There is a saying, “There are no atheists on a sinking ship”. It is natural if we are the captain of our own lives and we end up in dire situations to call God for help. The good news is that God assures us that anyone who looks to him will be saved. “Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.” (Isaiah 45:22). What an awesome promise from the creator of heaven and earth. He desires everyone to look to Him and to experience His salvation. However, don’t wait for a calamity to call on God. He holds such incredible promises for those who seek Him now – A life filled with His mercy, grace, patience, kindness, and truth. A life filled with His divine love, joy, and peace. A life filled with His wisdom and direction. A life filled with His freedom and rest. Let God captain your life and experience His awesome presence in your life every day and in every moment.
