“Take your clothes off and stand over there.” Regardless of who said this to you, even a doctor, you would feel very uncomfortable. Adam and Eve were naked in the beginning, and “were not ashamed” (Genesis 2:25). However, after they disobeyed God they felt ashamed and covered themselves with leaves. We may think we can hide our shameful behavior or thoughts from God. However, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:13). Thinking God doesn’t see what we do or think is as foolish as Adam and Eve’s leaf covering.
