God’s greater rest

God’s greater rest

How did you sleep last night? I haven’t been sleeping very well recently, and as someone who loves to get 8 hours of sleep, I really notice the difference. Lack of sleep leaves me with low energy throughout the day. In fact, it’s proven that getting enough sleep boosts memory, strengthens the immune system, and improves mood. Just as sleep restores our mental health and physical bodies, God offers us a spiritual rest that restores us in a far greater way. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Sleep can restore our energy for a day, but only God can truly restore us and give us everlasting restoration. This ‘rest’ is far greater than sleep or relaxation. It is a spiritual rest that transcends our circumstances, allowing us to cast all our worries and burdens onto Him and find strength in His presence. “Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken” (Psalm 62:1–2). (Hannah H) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Mat11v28https://bit.ly/Psa62v1-2
