Don’t miss it

Don’t miss it

Oh Mr Sun, Mr Golden Sun, please shine down on me… A children’s song echoes in my mind as I meditate at noon, the sun at its highest, reigning in the heavens. “The heavens declare the glory of God…” (Psalm 19:1).  I often think of the stars when I hear these words, but what of the greatest light among them? “Day unto day utters speech…” (Psalm 19:2). Above me, a deep blue sky holds a blazing fire, so powerful, yet felt now as gentle warmth, a consuming fire, and yet like a mother’s touch. I hear You. In this heaven of ours, the psalmist reminds us: the sun has found its dwelling, to heal, to touch, to give light, to energise, to fill all things with life. How do we move through our days and miss this voice? Its line goes out through all the earth, rising from one end of heaven, running its course to the other. So today, look, listen, and do not miss it. (Matthew B) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Psa19v1-4
